Stringer OSpec Help System

Introduction

Welcome to the Stringer OSpec Help System.  The Stringer OSpec help system includes the following resources:

Stringer OSpec Interface

Stringer OSpec runs directly inside your preferred CAD system.  Following installation an additional Menu and Ribbon Tab are added to the interface.  The ribbon works from left/right for settings, creation, editing, review and export.  The Command listing in this help system matches the Ribbon layout.

About Stringer OSpec

Stringer OSpec provides a structured framework for documenting 'as built' assets relevant to local government to describe open space assets, such as playgrounds, bins, fences, using drawing objects directly from your CAD drawing.

Any drawing objects can be selected and attributed with open space data to represent the as built condition of the features.  Stringer OSpec will use the geometry directly from the object/s selected.  Inputs will be adjusted based on the object type selected, so you are only attributing the information required for that particular object.

You can review what has and hasn't been attributed before output of a compliant OSpec .shp file.

What Data Can be Attributed?

The Council typically will identify the object types that are attirbuted.  In the drawiing the following object types are able to be attributed, depending on the object information being picked up:

Object Type Drawing CAD Entity Typical Objects
Point Objects Point or Stringer COGO Point (block) Bins
Line Objects Polyline Fences
Polygon Objects Closed Polylines Playgrounds, playing fields, landsaping, boardwalks
