Introduction

It is not uncommon to use different Codes in the field to those required in the finished documentation.  One classic example is the difference between using numeric Codes and alpha Codes.

This command searches and replaces multiple point Codes in the drawing.

A 'mapping' file is created listing pairs of Codes to switch via the Replace Code Settings command.

Workflow

There are three steps in this command:

  1. Agree to change point Codes

  2. Select the Point Group to apply the change to (commonly users would select a Point Group containing all points)

  3. Select the reference Point Code Set and the Replace Code Settings file to apply.  The Point Code Set is important to select as it enabled a full review of the formatted point description to gather all Codes to replace.
